Thanks to Larry I got this picture of San Diego Dorid
This gelatinous mass is called a Siphonophore. Apparently related to the Portuguese Man of War. Here is a link for more information.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siphonophora
We found five total on these three dives and I found one on Easter Sunday.

Hey mom, asked my the marine biologist to see if he could identify the jelly fish like tube. We will see if he gets back to me, but either way its very cool looking
nice work mom. seems like Sunday's dives were really cool. love all the videos and pics. cant wait to see more when i fly home!
